PARIS, TX-- Candidates running for the four open spots on the Paris City Council had a chance to address residents Thursday night in a candidate forum.
Six of the eight candidates took part in the forum that lasted just over an hour.
Each of the candidates was given several questions about the city and their districts to answer in front of the audience. John Kruntorad sponsored the event so people could get to know the candidates.
"One of the purposes is to promote political involvement by the citizens of Paris," said Republican Chairman John Kruntorad. "To inform the electives so they make good decisions when they go to the polling place."
Early voting begins on Monday, April 28th at the Lamar County Service Building.
Election day is May 10th.
