PARIS, TX-- The North Lamar Panthers are taking on the Paris wildcats Friday night in the Crosstown Showdown.
Both schools kicked off Friday with pep rallies--getting everyone ready for the battle.
The Panthers are looking to get their first district win, while Paris is hoping to stay undefeated in district play.
It's been three years since North Lamar took home the trophy.
"We don't think we've played our best the past three games because we don't think we've finished," said Quarterback Jacob Cowling. "If we play all four quarters this whole game right here we have a good chance to win."
Paris on the other hand is playing with a lot of pride.
"Really the attitude we started playing for one another instead of just playing for a victory we started playing for brothers really, said Senior Brickley Reed."
