PARIS, TX-- Questions and concerns over what the city plans to do with a generous donation made to the lake crook development project were discussed at Monday's council meeting.
Last month the city of Paris received a $100,000 donation from Dr. Richard and Susan Swint to re-develop Lake Crook.
The city had plans to develop the lake as resort area with apartments and homes. The Swint's, however, say the area should be used for lodges, trails and wildlife areas.
Many residents expressed concerns and asked the council to really consider the community's opinion.
The council assured residents they have not made a decision about the development, and will bring it back on the next agenda with Dr. Swint speaking.
