PARIS, TX-- A local church group is collecting donations to help people in Haiti.
Members of Paris Calvary will be shipping out a 40 foot container full of supplies next month.
They are asking for non-perishable items--like food, clothing, kitchen supplies and lumber. The supplies will help build three housing units and an 80 person orphanage.
Volunteers say helping others not only changes the lives of those in need, but their own.
"I didn't hear people fighting, I didn't see the kids arguing," said Eva Curvino. "They cant fight over toys because they don' t have any toys to argue over. They are just in the streets playing and happy."
Donations can be dropped off at Paris Calvary on Clarksville Street Monday-Thursday, or on Sunday.
