PARIS, TX -- A Texoma golfer is making his move up the state rankings and is now the number one ranked golfer in Texas 3-A.
According to HighSchoolGolfScoreboard.com, Paris High School Senior Tanner Napier is number one in the state.
Napier finished 2nd last year at the state golf tournament, but he says knocking off his Pleasanton rival to win the championship is his main goal for the season.
"I'm very honored to be ranked first in state, but of course it's not something that's my goal," said Napier. "Of course the goal is to win the state championship."
Napier will begin his quest for the state championship in the first round of district this weekend in Pittsburg.
In November, he signed to play in college with Arkansas State.
