PARIS, TX-- A program that will help residents repair their rundown homes is on the verge of being completed.
The Paris City Council approved the program Monday night that would offer up to a $5,000 loan to fix up homes in Paris that need it the most.
Mayor A.J. Hashmi brought the program to the council last month wanting to reallocate funds to tear down dilapidated homes to the loan program, allowing the city to guarantee half of the loan.
The city will now need to set agreement terms with local banks.
