Paris Junior College remembers President John F. Kennedy

PARIS, TX-- Former instructors and students from Paris Junior College came together Friday morning to reflect on the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

The event was put on by former instructor and President Emeritus Bobby Walters.

Students and staff shared stories and memories they had of that day 50 years ago.

Walters says it's a day in history we will never forget.

"One of his statements was ask not what your country can do for you but what can you do for your country and I think that is still something that people need to look at is what can we do, " said Walters.

Walters brought the original newspapers and magazines from 50 years ago and donated them to the History Department at PJC.
