PARIS, TX-- North Lamar ISD students are getting ready to stand up against bullying, for Unity Day.
Since the beginning of the year, students have been working in groups to create paper figures for their friendship hall.
The figures display positive words they can use to stand up to a bully.
Counselor Keitha Chalupa says, on Wednesday, students will pledge to keep Bailey Intermediate bully free.
"We will go to the Pacer website and it's the website for Unity Day," said Keitha Chalupa. "We will be doing all the games and activities and we will be watching all the videos that different celebrities and different kids have made."
All North Lamar students will take part in anti-bullying activities Wednesday.
They're also encouraged to wear orange, the official color of Unity Day.
