LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS-- A Reno mobile home is a total loss after it went up in flames Wednesday afternoon.
Just after 1 P.M. Reno, Faught and Blossom volunteer fire departments responded to a home on CR 42650 fully engulfed in flames.
Reno Fire Chief Chad Graves says it took firefighters around three hours to put out the blaze. One neighbor says he looked outside and saw the fire was getting bigger and called for help.
"I heard ammunition going off," said Wayne Hurley. "So I was afraid to come over, so we stayed until the fire department got here."
Chief Graves believes the fire was accidental, but the cause is still under investigation. The owners were not home at the time of the fire.
