COMMERCE, TX -- Texas A&M Commerce is starting a new plan that guarantees students tuition rates will stay the same up to four years.
The university's new plan called [in]tuition will begin this fall and guarantees students a set rate on tuition and mandatory fees for two or four years.
“The university’s new guaranteed tuition plan – [in]tuition – takes the mystery out of planning for a college education by guaranteeing that tuition and fees will not go up for two or four years,” said President Dan R. Jones. “It’s just one more reason that A&M-Commerce is known as ‘the university that cares.’”
The plan is based on Texas House Bill 29, which was signed and approved last month. It's designed to eliminate uncertainty and allow students and parents to budget for their education.
