PARIS, TX -- The Paris traffic commission is looking for answers after another fatal accident at what some call a dangerous Paris intersection.
Since 2000, the intersection at FM 1497 and Southeast Loop 286 has claimed five lives in traffic accidents. Most recently Paris paramedic Joe Howard, who was hit by a van while riding his motorcycle October 13th.
According to coordinator, Randy Tuttle, the commission plans on addressing the intersection at its next meeting.
The committee hopes to meet with TXDOT to see what actions can be taken to make the intersection safer.
