LAMAR COUNTY, TX - A worker has been killed in a fire Wednesday at a trailer manufacturing facility in Lamar County. News 12 has learned one employee was found dead just before 2 p.m.. No other injuries have been reported.
The fire started around 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at PJ Trailers, a major Lamar County employer located northwest of Paris. It's unknown at this point what caused the fire, but every fire department in Lamar County, Honey Grove Fire, and Delta County responded. They were able to extinguish the fire around 1:30 p.m. Smoke could be seen for miles as firefighters worked to contain the blaze. The Lamar County Sheriff's Office is on scene now investigating
The identity of the employee killed has not been released.
PJ Trailers employs over 100 people and was founded in 1991.
