HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police say gunfire during card games at a bar has left two men dead, a bystander wounded and the suspect on the run.

Police on Monday asked for the public's help in locating the gunman in the weekend attack.

The fight broke out early Sunday at the Las Palmas Club. Investigators say 27-year-old Elias Alvear-Ramirez of Houston was playing cards when a disturbance began with a friend of another card player. Police didn't immediately say what led to the argument.

Police say the suspect fatally shot Alvear-Ramirez and another man who tried to intervene. A third man who wasn't involved was also shot. He was treated and released from a Houston hospital.

Police didn't immediately release names of the second slain man or the wounded person.
