PLANO, Texas (AP) - A woman accused of helping run North Texas brothels that masqueraded as massage parlors faces up to four years in prison in a plea deal.
Yu Lin Chang appeared in federal court in Plano and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the U.S.
The Dallas Morning News (http://bit.ly/1s5skiT ) reports Chang pleaded guilty Wednesday related to prostitution operations in Plano, Dallas and Hurst.
Authorities last year raided nine storefront operations. Most of the women working as prostitutes were from China or other parts of Asia.
Quyen Thuc Ha of Richardson was accused of paying more than $300,000 in bribes to undercover officers for what he thought was police protection for the businesses.
Ha last week pleaded guilty to two counts of bribery and faces up to 10 years in prison.
