DALLAS (AP) - A commercial bus carrying 37 people has crashed into a vacant building near the Dallas Zoo overnight.
One person aboard was taken to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas with a broken leg.
Officials say the bus belonged to Houston-based Transportes Los Nortenos (nohr-TEHN'-yohs) and was heading to Columbus, Ohio, when
the 11 p.m. crash happened Wednesday on an Interstate 35E frontage
road. No caused has been determined, but the Dallas County Sheriff's Department said the National Transportation Safety Board will investigate.
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration gave the company a satisfactory safety rating after a compliance review last year. But a Transportes Los Nortenos bus headed from Columbus to Houston caught fire and burned Tuesday on the southern edge of Dallas. No injuries were reported.
