SANGER, Texas (AP) - Six Sanger Middle School football players were injured when antifreeze from a broken water hose sprayed on them after their school bus returned from an out-of-town game.
Tom Reedy, Denton County Sheriff's Department spokesman, told The Associated Press four of the six were taken by medical helicopter to Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Three sustained eye injuries while a 14-year-old had burns to both legs.
Reedy said the players were getting off their school bus when the hose broke Thursday night.
He said he had no information on the other two players.
Sanger is about 50 miles northwest of Dallas.
