Police say more than $3 million in boots stolen

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Fort Worth police say someone stole nearly $3.2 million worth of boots and parts by hauling away shipping containers in a big rig.

Fort Worth police Lt. Paul Henderson says the thefts occurred Labor Day weekend and November Ninth at the Justin Boots distribution center.

He says both times someone cut the locked chain securing the gate. A surveillance video shows a white single-cab tractor entering the property without a trailer and leaving with one three different times.

The company was founded in 1879 and has had its headquarters in Fort Worth since 1925. It was bought by Berkshire Hathaway in 2000.
