PARIS, Tex. ― The mother of a man who was allegedly dragged to death in Paris, Texas, says she is ready for justice to be served. Jacqueline McClelland says autopsy results on her 24-year-old son Brandon McClelland reveal his body was torn apart so badly that he could not even be embalmed.

Lamar County Sheriff's officials say Shannon Keith Finley, 27, and Charles Ryan Crostley, 24, purposefully ran over McClelland and then dragged his body with a car about seventy feet.

Investigators say this happened after an argument on the way home from a late night beer run.

McClelland says her son knew the men who ran him over, but she wants authorities to pursue the case as a hate crime.

"My son, parts of his brain was missing. His skull was busted open, his leg was almost completely torn off. It was pretty bad," Jacqueline McClelland told First News.

The Lamar County District Attorney's Office refused to comment on the case, which is expected to go to the grand jury next week. McClelland’s attorney says it will then be decided whether the case will be classified as a hate crime.
