UNDATED (AP) - Traffic accidents by the dozens and school schedule delays and cancellations are the norm in much of North Texas today.
That's as a fine mist froze on bridges and overpasses, causing extremely treacherous commuting conditions.
Dallas police say all major streets and highways are open this morning, but almost 100 traffic accidents were reported between midnight and daybreak today. No serious injuries were reported.
A winter weather advisory was in effect until at least late this afternoon in Central and North Texas, while a winter storm warning is in effect for East and Northeast Texas. Schools in Dallas, Fort Worth and most of their suburbs are on schedule, but classes in Rockwall and further out have been canceled or delayed.
A winter weather advisory was cancelled for South Texas.
