EL RENO, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say a man being sought in connection with the deaths of an Oklahoma woman and her four young children has been captured in Texas.
Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jessica Brown says Joshua Steven Durcho was taken into custody tonight by Texas officials.
Durcho was charged with five counts of first-degree murder after an El Reno police officer conducting a welfare check found Summer Garas, 25, and her four children dead in her apartment Monday.
Garas was 25-year-old Durcho's girlfriend.
The children ranged in age from 3 to 7.
A Texas Department of Public Safety communications officer in Waco, who declined to give his name, said that Durcho was injured in a one-vehicle accident just outside Hamilton County about 8:45 p.m. A check of his identity determined he was wanted by Oklahoma authorities.
Durcho was taken to a hospital in Hamilton County for treatment of his injuries.
