TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) - Two Texas men have been charged with woods arson in a rash of eight fires set on state property in Northport in west Alabama.

Investigators with the Alabama Forestry Commission and the Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's Office arrested 20-year-old Justin Lynn Dennis of Hallsville, Texas, and 18-year-old Anthony Bruce Combs
Jr. of Longview, Texas.

Both had been living in Northport for four days and allegedly set the fires on Wednesday. Arrested on Thursday, they were released from the Tuscaloosa County Jail on $2,500 bond each.

It was not clear if Dennis and Combs had a lawyer Monday.

The arrests were announced Monday by the forestry commission's law enforcement chief, Craig Hill.
