TYLER, Texas (AP) - A Gilmer man who had nearly 7,500 images of
youngsters on his personal computer has confessed to producing and
trading in child pornography.
Kerry Scott Baker on Wednesday pleaded guilty, in federal court in Tyler, to three counts of producing material involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
Officers searched Baker's residence last August. Prosecutors say the 33-year-old Baker had more than 7,000 photos and 400 videos of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct on his computer, which was seized.
Baker, who remains in custody, faces up to 30 years in federal prison. Sentencing is pending.
