HOUSTON (AP) - A 46-year-old man is charged with capital murder in the death of a 5-year-old girl in a Houston house fire he's accused of setting.
Anthony Miller, who lived in the house, says Tracy Bush had been waging an ongoing feud with Miller's family. Miller says Bush is his uncle.
Killed in the 9:30 a.m. Sunday fire was Miller's cousin, 5-year-old Brastaya Peace. Miller and his wife fled to safety and thought the girl was at church with her grandmother. But Miller said they then heard the child scream for help.
Firefighters reached the girl, who was airlifted to Memorial
Hermann Children's Hospital where she died of severe burns.
Bush is held without bond at Harris County Jail on Monday. Jail booking records don't list an attorney for Bush.
