DALLAS (AP) - A woman is in a Dallas hospital and her three children are in the custody of caseworkers after Dallas police say she confessed to killing her ex-husband.
Sr. Cpl. Kevin Janse says the 33-year-old woman called Dallas 911 about 4:15 a.m. Monday and reported that she'd killed her ex-husband in San Antonio Sunday night. She also said she'd just taken a handful of pills.
The Dallas police spokesman says the operator told her to stop at a nearby gas station east of downtown. She was taken to Baylor University Medical Center. Janse says the children - ages 2, 6 and 13 - were turned over to Child Protective Services.
Janse referred other questions to the Bexar County Sheriff's Department in San Antonio. A call there hasn't been returned.
