FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Police say a 2-year-old Fort Worth boy is dead after his family's sport-utility vehicle rolled over him after he put it in gear.
A Fort Worth police spokesman says Julian Tarin's mother and aunt apparently left him and three other children in the SUV in the family driveway Monday.
Police Sgt. Pedro Criado says the other children told investigators that Julian then climbed into the driver's seat and shifted gears. They say that when the SUV started to roll, Julian got scared, climbed from the car and was run over.
Criado says the woman told police that they'd taken the keys to the SUV into the house with them. There is no word on charges, but police are still investigating.
