Dallas Shooting

DALLAS (AP) - Two people are dead after a shooting at a southeast Dallas trailer park and an exchange of gunfire with police left one suspect with serious injuries.

Dallas police spokesman Lt. Andy Harvey said police responded to a call of a robbery in progress around 9:15 p.m. last night at the trailer park, which he did not identify.

He says officers heard gunshots from inside a trailer, then a suspect came out and fired a gun at police and missed.

That suspect and an officer exchanged gunfire toward the rear of the trailer in which the suspect was shot multiple times. He's listed in serious condition at Baylor Hospital.

Harvey said police found two people dead inside the trailer.

A second suspect was detained and witnesses are being interviewed by police.

No officers were injured during the shooting.
