KFC sues Paris supplier after packaging catches fire

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Fried chicken giant KFC is suing one of its suppliers, saying cups used to hold popcorn chicken have caught fire while being reheated in microwave ovens.

Louisville-based KFC said in a federal lawsuit that Paris Packaging of Paris, Texas, changed the content of the black ink used on the containers. The lawsuit says the ink now includes carbon, which may catch fire if heated.

The restaurant chain says at least two people reported fires. The suit does not say whether anyone was injured because of the fires.

KFC is seeking at least $757,000 to cover the cost of recalled containers.

KFC spokesman Rick Maynard said no one was injured because of
the fires.

Messages left at Paris Packaging were not immediately returned

My KFC comment didn't get posted :( Their food is heart attack on a plate anyway. I read an article in a magazine that I won't name due to its major subject matter that KFC uses some sort of additive in its fries that is similar to plastic. Real death trap that place.

Well Rick, what a nice little statement. I guess that what you are saying is that I must be white because my grammer is not terrible and my words are spelled correctly. I can definately tell that you are white. Your momma must be so proud. You'll probably end up on the news here along with all of the rest of the white trash.

Really? Paper cups heat = fire? How could such a thing happen? I mean, if only there was a clear indication of the temperature at which paper burns. And if only that temperature was also the title of a popular novel by Ray Bradbury. I guess that's just fate for you.

Well OOTO, I can tell that you are white so your statement means nothing. Mostly because you spelled everything correctly and don't have that bad of grammar. KFC will probably lose. Why? They probably found a cheaper supplier and wants to get some money back from the one they are dropping. Sad when the everyday man can see this. But yes, lets hold court for KFC microwaving food right next to a fryer...makes ton of sense.

Probably a bunch of no good white people over in Paris trying to burn down people's houses. Why did they have to mess with the black ink? White people White people White people...

Wow...I'm glad I don't eat at KFC...I don't want my food catchin fire if I reheated it. It's a good thing no one was hurt in this mishap.
