SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A female soldier has been found shot to death in her barracks at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio.
The soldier suffered a single gunshot wound on Tuesday evening, but fort officials couldn't immediately say whether someone killed her or the death was a suspected suicide.
Her name, rank and hometown were not immediately released.
The GI's body was found in the training barracks for the 32nd Medical Brigade, an open room that holds an average of about 60 soldiers. The barracks are used to house combat medics in training.
Calls to officials at Fort Sam on Wednesday morning were not immediately returned.
