Texas woman dies when car hits house in western NY

PENDLETON, N.Y. (AP) - A Texas woman has been killed in a crash
after the car she was riding in slammed into a house outside Buffalo.

State police say 41-year-old Paul Sonnenmeier of Mesquite Texas was driving on a road in the Niagara County town of Pendleton Monday morning when his vehicle left the road and hit a house.

Troopers say 45-year-old Linda Hosler of Mesquite was taken from the scene but pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Sonnenmeier was taken to Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo. Trooper said his injuries weren't considered life-threatening.

One person was in the house at the time but was not injured.

The cause of the crash is being investigated.

Troopers said Sonnenmeier and Hosler were visiting family in Pendleton, 15 miles north of Buffalo.
