DENTON, Texas (AP) - Investigators believe that a slain taxi driver found stabbed and burned in rural Denton County had been robbed. His van was found abandoned about a mile away.
The taxi driver's name has not yet been released. Justin firefighters found his body Thursday night about five miles west of Texas Motor Speedway as they were extinguishing a grass fire.
Denton Sheriff's Office officials say the man was stabbed in the chest and his throat cut. There was a large amount of blood on the front and rear seats of his van.
