McALLEN, Texas (AP) - A court hearing is Tuesday in McAllen for two pilots from India facing federal drug charges after a flight from the Houston area.
A federal magistrate on Thursday ordered the men held without bond.
KGBT-TV reports Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents detained the men Wednesday after their private plane was flown from
Spring to an airport in Edinburg, then on to McAllen.
ICE officials say the suspects allegedly picked up two suitcases, with about 50 pounds of marijuana, at a gate near a business aviation site at McAllen Miller International Airport. The plane was stopped with attempting to taxi to a runway.
