HOUSTON (AP) - Fort Bend County detectives say an 89-year-old man shot his 64-year-old son-in-law after the younger man refused to leave his house.
The Fort Bend Sheriff's Office said an argument erupted around 9:30 a.m. Tuesday after Roosevelt Williams entered the residence of his father-in-law. When Williams refused to leave, the older man shot him, investigators said.
Williams was pronounced dead at a local hospital. No arrests have been made.
Fort Bend investigators say they expect to refer the case to a grand jury. Officials have not identified the 89-year-old man.
