DALLAS (AP) - Construction workers will discuss labor rights violations and concerns with the Workers' Rights Board of North Texas Jobs with Justice this Labor Day weekend.
North Texas Jobs with Justice says common problems at area building sites include insufficient drinking water during the hot summer months and lack of safety equipment.
The group says worker rights abuses in construction aren't uncommon, but the economic crisis has aggravated the problem.
The Workers' Rights Board will to listen to the laborers testimony Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Beckley Courthouse in Dallas.
About a dozen of worker rights boards have formed in cities around the country. They investigate and work to develop ways to overcome workers rights problems.
