AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - At least six freight cars have derailed in a Central Texas accident that delayed some morning commuters.
Officials with Capital Metro in Austin say nobody was hurt in the derailment that left some traffic intersections blocked during rush hour.
Authorities are trying to determine what caused the derailment in east Austin. No rail cars overturned.
The freight train tracks are on the same system used by Capital Metro's MetroRail service. The commuter line canceled some routes Wednesday while the tracks were cleared. Buses helped transport displaced rail commuters to their destinations.
