GARLAND, Texas (AP) - Garland police have identified three people found shot to death in an apparent double murder and a suicide as a man, a woman and her husband.
The standoff ended Sunday afternoon when police went into the home and discovered the bodies of three Garland residents.
A police statement said 30-year-old Amber Doyle and 31-year-old Damon Spoon had been slain. The suspected gunman, 37-year-old Denny Doyle, was dead from a self-inflicted wound.
Garland police are investigating the motive for the shootings. The standoff began late Saturday when police were notified after a friend reported one of the three people never showed up for work.
