SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A neighbor of a woman found raped and slain in her San Antonio house has been charged in the 1992 killing with help from DNA evidence.
Relatives who found the stabbed body of 31-year-old Kassundra Williams went to the home of 39-year-old Andra Rivers to telephone for help.
Bail is $1 million for Rivers, who remained Wednesday in the Bexar (BAYR) County Detention Center on a capital murder charge. A clerk, who declined to provide her full name to The Associated Press, had no listing for an attorney for Rivers, whose arrest was announced uesday.
A family member this summer asked that the case be reopened. Investigators found DNA from Rivers on the body.
