HOUSTON (AP) - Houston firefighters rescued three dogs while putting out an apartment complex blaze in which all humans escaped unharmed.
The fire early Thursday left at least one of the animals needing oxygen. A man was seen trying to do mouth-to-mouth to rescue a puppy. Emergency personnel placed a special oxygen mask on a dog to help it breathe.
Authorities say two puppies and their mother were saved.
The cause of the fire, which left several units damaged, is sought.
