SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A 22-year-old San Antonio woman is jailed
today on charges that she stabbed her two young sons to death.
Police say the woman calmly held her wrists out to officers who
arrived at her home and said "I just killed my babies."
Elyse Marsyl Colon is facing two counts of capital murder of a
child. Bail was set at $1 million on each count.
The victims were identified as 3-year-old Jose Luis Garcia and
1-year-old Guillermo Garcia.
Officers responding to a 911 call yesterday were greeted outside
the home by Colon.
Police Chief William McManus says the boys were dressed and lying next to each other in bed.
Records show police made previous calls to the home for family violence. The father was in custody on an immigration-related charge.
