WACO, Texas (AP) - Baylor University will present its new president Tuesday, the former independent prosecutor whose investigation led to President Clinton's impeachment.
Kenneth Starr is to discuss his new job Tuesday afternoon in Waco at the world's largest Baptist university.
Starr has been the dean of Pepperdine University's School of Law in Malibu, Calif., since 2004.
After a unanimous vote to hire him, Baylor's board of regents cited his law school dean record, his public service, leadership and advocacy for Christian ideals.
In the 1990s, Starr's office spent millions on a probe of Clinton's affair with White House intern Monica Lewinsky and efforts to cover it up, which led to the president's impeachment by the House. Clinton was not convicted and completed his second term.
