2 inmates still at large after Texas prison break

AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - The search continued for a second full day
for two Mexican nationals who escaped from a Texas prison and could
be heading for the border.
Texas Department of Criminal Justice spokeswoman Michelle Lyons
on Thursday said the search goes on for Jose Bustos-Diaz and
Octavio Ramos Lopez.
Both were unaccounted for Tuesday during a routine count at the
Briscoe Unit, in Frio County about 75 miles southwest of San
Antonio. The pair apparently cut through a perimeter fence.
Bustos-Diaz was serving 35 years for murder in Harris County.
Lopez, who was convicted in Hidalgo County, was serving 20 years
for two counts of aggravated kidnapping and 12 years for possession
of cocaine and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.
Investigators believe the pair could be bound for Mexico.PRISON ESCAPE
