FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - Police are seeking two suspects after a 12-year-old boy was fatally shot while outside a North Texas home and a teenager asleep inside was wounded.
The Tarrant County medical examiner's office says James Hardeman died early Monday at a Fort Worth hospital.
Fort Worth police say two people got out of a vehicle Saturday night and opened fire on a house. The boy who was killed was shot while standing outside. Police say a 16-year-old was wounded while he slept inside the residence. Several other people in the home, including two other children, escaped injury.
Authorities are seeking a motive for the shootings. Police believe at least one of the suspects was armed with a rifle.
