TERRELL, Texas (AP) - Services will be held for a Dallas firefighter who died after being knocked from an icy overpass by a vehicle while responding to a traffic accident.
Family, friends and other mourners gather Monday in Terrell to remember William Scott Tanksley. Burial will follow at the Restland Cemetery-Garden of Honor in Dallas.
Tanksley was killed Feb. 10. Investigators say the 40-year-old firefighter was struck by a vehicle while on an overpass and fell about 50 feet to his death.
