HOUSTON (AP) - Houston police are searching for the driver of a vehicle on a freeway who shot and killed another motorist in what could be a case of road rage.
The shooting occurred Tuesday evening along Interstate 10 on Houston's west side.
A 32-year-old Houston man, Jaime Ceballos-Garcia, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide officers say he was heading east on the freeway and one of his two passengers called police to report another car driving recklessly and harassing them. As he was exiting the interstate, officers say the erratic car pulled alongside and someone started shooting.
One of two friends with Ceballos-Garcia grabbed the steering wheel and managed to get control of his car. But Ceballos-Garcia died of a single gunshot to his head.
