HOUSTON,TX. (AP) - Houston police say they have not yet determined what lead a man to shot and kill his 11-year-old daughter and wound his wife and 14-year-old daughter before killing himself.
Police say Jacqueline Shaikh was killed Sunday afternoon after being shot multiple times. Police say 43-year-old Maria Isabel Gorena and 14-year-old Vivian Shaikh were taken to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition Sunday. A hospital spokeswoman had no information on them Monday.
Police say 47-year-old Sardar Shaikh killed himself.
Police say Gorena called 911, saying her husband had shot her and their two children and that she believed he'd also shot himself.
Upon arriving at the family's condominium, officers found the suspect dead in front of the home.
Police say the mother was paralyzed after being shot in the back.
