OVILLA, Texas (AP) - Parts of North Texas have been shaken by a minor earthquake.
The U.S. Geological Survey reports the 2.4 magnitude earthquake happened at 8:37 a.m. CDT Wednesday. The quake was centered just west of Ovilla, about 20 miles south of Dallas.
The Ellis County Sheriff's Department had no immediate reports of anyone hurt or damage from the earthquake.
Ovilla is a town of about 3,500.
