ROUND ROCK, Texas (AP) - Austin-area police say an officer fatally shot a man who allegedly killed his ex-girlfriend, then refused to stand down when confronted by authorities.
Police in Round Rock say they were called to a disturbance Sunday after 5 p.m. Neighbors called 911 after the man had shot the 23-year-old woman.
After officers arrived, the man pointed his gun at them. Two officers shot and killed him.
The names of the man and woman were not immediately released.
