Princeton man gets 55 years for after-school abuse of girl

McKINNEY, Texas (AP) - A North Texas man has been sentenced to 55 years in prison for the after-school abuse of a girl in his care.

Jurors in McKinney convicted 46-year-old Rigoberto Benito of Princeton of continuous sexual abuse of a child and indecency with a child.

Collin County District Attorney Greg Willis said Friday that Benito assaulted the 9-year-old girl numerous times between September 2007 and May 2008. Testimony indicated Benito was accused of sexual assault of at least two other children.

The four-day trial ended Thursday.
