SAN ANTONIO (AP) - A South Texas man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for rape and forcing a 13-year-old girl into prostitution.
A jury in San Antonio on Tuesday sentenced Bobby "Spider Moreno." Jurors convicted Moreno of human trafficking, super aggravated sexual assault of a child, compelling prostitution and aggravated kidnapping.
Records show Moreno has prior convictions for drugs, burglary and family violence.
His brother, Juan Moreno, was sentenced to life in prison in 2010 for convictions related to the girl, who says she was drugged during about two weeks of captivity. The victim, who's now 17, testified the brothers in 2007 raped her and forced her to have sex with about a dozen men.
