RICE, Texas (AP) - Police say five people, including three children, have been found dead inside a residence near Rice.
Navarro County Sheriff Elmer Tanner says in a posting on the sheriff department's Facebook page that a Spanish-speaking male placed a 911 call about 7 p.m. Sunday, telling dispatchers that several members of his family were dead inside a home.
Tanner says deputies and emergency medical workers rushed to the residence only to find the bodies of two adults and three young children.
The sheriff says authorities do not believe there are any suspects at large in the deaths but that deputies are continuing to investigate at the scene.
