AUSTIN, Texas (AP) - Candidates for governor, lieutenant governor and comptroller are rolling out campaign ads this week.
Democratic candidate for governor Wendy Davis posted her first campaign ad on YouTube Monday morning, while Republican Dan Patrick bought television time in his bid for lieutenant governor.
Democrat Mike Collier also posted the first ad in the state comptroller's race.
The Davis ad is a four-and-a-half minute biographic piece, as is Colliers, since both recently announced their candidacies. Davis portrays herself as a political moderate, while Collier talks about his professional experience as an accountant.
Patrick's ad calls for tougher immigration law enforcement and an end to in-state college tuition for teens who grew up in Texas after crossing the border illegally. The Patrick ad will appear on Fox News channels
